Field Knight Dinger Bell is presented with a Wound Stripe from the Commander of the Royal Canadian Navy, Vice-Admiral Ron Lloyd in Halifax. Dinger was badly injured in the 1969 HMCS Kootenay, at-sea explosion, with burns to 85% of his body. This award reflects those injuries received in an operational theatre.
