– A BUSY YEAR FOR THE KINGSTON COMMANDERY
During the weekend of 4-5 October, the Commandery again conducted the Investiture at St Georges Anglican Cathedral. During the Meet and Greet, three members of our Commandery were promoted to Knight Commander: Robert Hamilton, Terence Cottrell and John Cowan.
On 14 Sep, John Cowan held a social gathering at his home to host prominent Kingstonians in order to introduce them to the Order and its objectives.
At the end of the navy cadet summer training held in Kingston, Robert Hamilton presented the Order of St George Medals to Cadet CPO1 Taryn Daly, RCSCC Repulse (Sarnia) and Cadet PO2 Bryanna Lavictoire, RCSCC Lanark (Carlton Place). The photo shows the presentation on the parade square at Royal Military College.
On 7 June, members of the Commandery presented a cheque to the Kingston Military Family Resource Centre.
On 5 May, Vaughn Hughes again supported the Kingston General Hospital Neuro Race on our behalf. Our banner was prominently displayed at the finish line.
On 16 January we presented a cheque to Kingston 4 Paws Service Dogs which was the profit earned from our calendar fund raiser.
