The 51st anniversary of HMCS Kootenay’s explosion, with the loss of nine sailors, was commemorated at the Bonaventure Monument, Point Pleasant Park, Halifax 23 Oct 20. Chevaliers John Montague and Steve Rowland and Field Knight Dinger Bell are survivors. Chevalier John Pickford gave the Eulogy. Other attendees included Dames Heather Armstrong and Heather MacKinnon and Field Dame Patti Christie.
