The Niagara Priory of the Order of St George was well represented at a “Celebration of Service to the Crown” tribute dinner hosted by the Crown Society of Canada on May 30th, 2025. At the invitation of the Society’s National President, Lt(N) Thomas Morin-Cabana, our Prior, Chevalier Bill Foote, KGCStG along with Field Knight Heather Foote and Deputy Prior, Chevalier Adam Carter, KStG, travelled to the National Club in Toronto to honour the crown service of The Honourable Elizabeth Dowdeswell, OC, DStJ, OOnt (29th Lieutenant Governor of Ontario), her former Chief of Staff, Mr. Anthony Hylton, CVO, and her former Chief Aide-de-camp, LCdr (Ret’d) His Honour, Judge Albert Wong, CD. The event was well received with over a hundred attendees from many Crown affiliated organizations such as the Royal Commonwealth Society and the Order of St John. Additionally, a number of representatives from like minded societies and chivalric orders were also present, including the St George’s Society of Toronto, the Order of St Lazarus, and the Order of St Joachim. The host, Chevalier Lt(N) Morin-Cabana, KStG is also the Prior of our Quebec Prior, so the The Order of St George was well represented with several Dames and Chevalier’s of the Order in attendance, including Chevalier John Nolan, KStG, Prior of our Toronto Priory. All-in-all it was a great networking evening with many currently serving and retired military members in attendance.
