Welcome to the Niagara Priory.
The Priory is located on the traditional lands of the Six Nations of the Grand River, the Erie, the Neutral, the Huron-Wendat, Hatiwendaronk, the Haudenosaunee, the Anishinaabe, and includes the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation. We stand with all Indigenous peoples, past and present, in promoting the wise stewardship of the land.
The Priory services the military community ranging from the cadets to veterans, including active service personnel. Niagara was the founding priory in North America, consecrated on March 1st, 2003 at Christ Church in Niagara Falls, Ontario.
Our mandate includes project development, collaboration with similar minded charitable organizations, and linking our military family to relevant resources and services. A key function of our humanitarian work is fundraising for the CRA registered charitable arm of the Order, The International Knightly Order of St. George Foundation, whose mission is to raise funds for the ‘Canadian Forces Personnel and Family Support Services’, which includes the ‘Military Family Resource Centres’ and the ‘Military Families Fund’. These funds provide support and financial assistance to families of Canadian Forces personnel faced with unforeseen and often urgent needs resulting from conditions of service to Canada. We also service the Cadets and Junior Canadian Rangers program, providing support to more than two dozen Army, Sea and Air Cadet Corps and Squadrons throughout Niagara, Hamilton and Haldimand.
